New Client Documents and Onboarding: Your First Steps with Semper Tax Relief

Service Engagement Letter
To start, you’ll receive a Service Engagement Letter outlining the scope of services, such as IRS representation, tax filings, or other tax-related support. This letter also defines your responsibilities to ensure a smooth process. Please review, sign, and return the letter promptly to begin our partnership.
IRS Representation Authorization (Form 2848)
If IRS representation is included in your services, completing Form 2848 is required to authorize us to represent you before the IRS. This form must be signed with a pen-on-paper signature. Once completed, upload a high-quality PDF scan to our secure client portal. For your security, avoid emailing this form.
Billing and Payment Process
Our billing process is transparent and hassle-free. You’ll receive a detailed invoice for services, including a secure payment link. This link makes it easy to match your payments to Semper Tax Relief. If you have questions about billing, our team is here to help.
Document Sharing & Case Collaboration
To ensure the security of your information, we exchange documents exclusively through our secure client portal. When providing documents, scan them as high-quality PDFs and upload them directly to the portal. Avoid emailing sensitive information to protect your data.
Next Steps for New Tax Clients
1. Review and sign the Service Engagement Letter.
2. Complete and sign Form 2848 (if applicable).
3. Upload required documents to the client portal.
4. Payment(s) as scheduled with the invoice link provided.
5. Once Onboarded, watch for additional organizers and document requests, & complete them promptly.
