Need to Make a tax payment to the State of California - Franchise Tax Board?

You can make a direct payment with the FTB Online with a checking account only or mail in a payment to the FTB.

If you want to use a credit card, you will have to use an FTB-approved 3rd party, however, there is a service fee charged by the 3rd party credit card processprs.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A PAYMENT TO THE FTB:

  1. Enough funds in your account to cover the payment

  2. The Taxpayer ID ( Social Security #, Employer Identification #…)

  3. The Tax Type/ Form you will be paying
